Possibly the most fun we have had on a vehicle design project!!!
Working with our good friends at Mobile Retail UK, we where invited by Taylors of Harrogate to design and build a new and more improved mobile marketing vehicle to replace the ageing but very iconic ‘Little Urn’ – The Yorkshire Tea branded ice cream truck. (you may have seen him on the TV adverts)
Whilst ‘Little Urn mkII’ needed to be a new modern replacement, the vehicle design needed to give a huge nod in the direction of the original. Taking a standard long wheel base van we developed and built a new rear back box from scratch. This gave us more flexibility to position all the equipment required. It also helped to setup a very well organised workflow. – Key for the team to be able to serve hundreds of drinks each day.
Keep your eyes open for ‘Little Urn mkII’. You may very well see him serving Yorkshires finest up and down the country.
